We recently walked into the new downtown Barnes & Noble for the first time this April, and it was such a refreshing and inspiring experience. The store is beautifully organized, with everything thoughtfully laid out—making it easier than ever to find the books we were looking for. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, just what you’d hope for in a great bookstore. It truly felt like a return to classic Barnes & Noble charm, with a modern touch and a sense of care in every corner. From layout to ambiance, it all came together perfectly.

You don't know what you have until it's gone!!! This Barnes and Noble almost slipped away from downtown Naperville and it utterly crushed me. I love browsing all the books, checking out the newest horror books with my friend, exploring toy section with my cousins, and the quiet moments of just reading quietly in the presence of people I love. I know it's cheesy, but if you have any enjoyment for book stores, I know you get it. A book store has something for everyone and it's tangible. I just don't think we have enough of that anymore, where you can reach out and hold the thing you want, I'm glad we still have it with books.

Super friendly store with so much to offer! I always find what I need and if not, the staff helps with locating it or they’ll check another store or just order it! Plus the children section is Amazing!

Compactly arranged in an artful manner, I appreciated this revamped downtown Naperville B&N. Great spot to take kids shopping with their holiday gift card, as games, books, and toys arranged themselves nicely in the lower traffic second story. Helpful staff as well!

Finally Found Quut Toys – Great Experience at Barnes & Noble! I had such a great experience at the Barnes & Noble in downtown Naperville! The store is beautifully laid out, spacious, and always a joy to browse through. Whether you're looking for books, games, gifts, or just a peaceful corner to flip through a novel, this location delivers every time. The highlight of my visit? I finally found Quut toys! I’d been looking for them everywhere and was so excited to see them in stock here. They’re such high-quality, creative toys for kids, and I’m thrilled that Barnes & Noble carries them now. The staff was helpful and kind, and the overall vibe of the store made it a relaxing, enjoyable shopping trip. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area — whether you're hunting for a good read or that perfect gift!

A very clean store with lots of books and music LP's to choose from. Plenty of children's toys and challenging puzzles available. The employees are very kind and helpful.

I love this Barnes & Noble. Everything was easy to find and it was also easy to explore new genres and get good recommendations as well! There’s parking right outside the building as well as a two minute walk down the road. It was so nice and quiet and such a pretty store everything was set up so organized and nicely. I really enjoyed my time looking around at new titles and different genres. They had a great horror selection, which is my favorite! And an even better thriller section, which is my other favorite! I really enjoyed visiting this Barnes & Noble and I will definitely be back!

Went here for the first time after the old location closed down (sadly) I know they were trying to go for an indie bookstore vibe which to be honest, I wasn’t really feeling because it was still two stories. There was definitely a smaller selection of books though compared to the old location. Everything was clean and organized, staff were nice and prices are good especially with the sale. There’s no Starbucks in this location for anyone curious

Visiting Barnes & Noble in downtown Naperville feels like stepping into a book lover’s dream right in the heart of town. The store, which reopened in a newly redesigned space at 9 Jackson Ave in 2025, carries a welcoming, cozy vibe with well-organized shelves full of both bestsellers and hidden gems across genres; there’s definitely something for everyone from novels and children’s books to games and gifts. As you walk in, you notice thoughtful touches like comfortable reading nooks and clear signage that make browsing easy, and local patrons often point out that it’s now a favorite community gathering spot again after its return. While it doesn’t always have the huge crowds seen at flagship bookstores, the atmosphere is relaxed, staff seem friendly and knowledgeable, and regular events like author signings and book club meetups give it a lively, engaging feel. A coffee or snack in the café corner makes for a perfect afternoon break, turning a simple browse into a mini escape... ideal whether you’re hunting for your next great read or just enjoying a peaceful moment away from the bustle of downtown Naperville.
